The fourth-annual Suits and Sneakers Gala will take place on October 11, 2024 at the Fayetteville Town Center. We are gearing up to break the million dollar mark, and we plan to celebrate all night long! Join us for an unforgettable evening filled with fun revenue enhancers, a thrilling live auction, a delicious dinner, signature cocktails and exciting surprises that will keep you on your sneaker-covered toes. As for the theme, we are keeping that a well-guarded secret because, as you know, no great coach EVER shares their playbook. Don’t miss this epic night! The event will be an exclusive evening for 500 of ACS’s closest friends and advocates to come together to further the important mission of American Cancer Society. Funds raised via sponsorship will support cancer research while funds raised the night of the event will support patient transportation and lodging grant programs in Arkansas. Suits & Sneakers is part of the nationwide collaboration, Coaches vs. Cancer, between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches. Since 1993, coaches have raised over $135 million for the American Cancer Society.

“I am thrilled to be working together with the American Cancer Society in the effort to end cancer as we know it. I know personally the impact cancer can have on the patient as well as their caregivers, and I will not stop my efforts to help closing the gap on care and cures for all that are going through their cancer journey.” – Jennifer Baumhoer
The American Cancer Society provides information and resources to help patients and their loved ones manage through cancer treatment and recovery, and to help with the emotional support they need. They also work to remove barriers that stand between the patient and lifesaving treatment. For many patients with cancer, transportation challenges can create barriers to receive the treatment they need. Many people need daily or weekly treatment, often for several months. Family and friends may help, but they may not always have the time or resources to provide every ride. The American Cancer Society is proud to provide transportation assistance to those in need, by giving free rides to cancer-related medical appointments.
In 2022 alone, the American Cancer Society provided more than 323,000 rides to more than 35,000 patients in need through transportation programs.
For more than 10 decades, the American Cancer Society has been dedicated to pursuing better outcomes for every cancer, every life. Today, more people are surviving cancer than ever before, but there is still work to be done. Join us, support us, and help us end cancer as we know it, for everyone.
